David West is the project manager at DANTE for the regional network projects EUMEDCONNECT2, TEIN3 and CAREN in the southern Mediterranean rim, Asia-Pacific and Central Asia, respectively. Since its inception he has lead and managed the EUMEDCONNECT programme, which has provided
a regional research and education network for North African and Middle Eastern countries since 2004. He joined DANTE in 2001, after spending 15 years at BT where he was a senior manager responsible for a number of international product and business development programmes.
Mr West has extensive experience in the telecommunications field of managing and supporting new projects, and in establishing supplier and partner relationships. He is educated to postgraduate degree level and spent the earlier part of his career in the UK urban development
industry.
